1 John 3:2-3 KJV
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. [3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
The Bible says in Job, a man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. We enter into this world with troubles and hard times. At times it can feel like it's too much to handle. But in John, we find that when we are saved we become part of a family that is higher than all. We become an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ, and with that, we are given hope. Not just hope in this world but in a hope that is to come. 1 Corinthians 15:19 KJV
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
We find that we get to get a glorified body that doesn't hurt, worry, or decay. But it can live forever. With this hope comes a responsibility to keep ourselves pure because he is pure.
