The Reason for the season

Luke 1:30-33 KJV

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. [31] And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. [32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: [33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

I wonder what Mary really was thinking through all of this. I mean to be told that she who knew no man was going to have a son and that he was going to be king. And the days from his birth until he his time came and till his death and resurrection. I wonder as this little baby would maybe cry to be fed. Or as she watched him take his first steps, his first time falling on his knees, as he began to talk, the first words he would say. Watching him grow into a teenager. I can't help but wonder what ran thru Marys mind about how he was the Son of God. As he grew into an adult and revealed who he was and what was going to happen to him. Her still remembering that he is the Son of God and he is a king. I can't tell what she thought or felt but there was a reason for all of it. Everything is this life has a reason. We can not forget that the reason he was born to this young virgin girl. His birth, death, and resurrection was for us.

Its not about the gift from each other. Its about the gift from God.

Matthew 1:23 KJV

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. He is the reason for the season!
