Freedom

John 8:36 KJV

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

As we are coming up on Independence Day the thoughts of freedom run through my mind. And the great sacrifices that was made so that we as Americans can have a freedom to do as we please. So that we as Christians can worship Christ the way that is right. I'm very grateful for that freedom.

I am also thankful for the freedom that Christ gave us. When he set us free he set us free from sin. No longer are we bound by the shackles of sin that the devil locks us in. When the Lord set you free, he made it so that you don't have to return to it. He made it to where we no longer are bound by it but free.

Let us take the time during this season to thank those who have and are serving our country, but also not to forget that great sacrifice Christ made for us.
