1 Peter 1:13-16 KJV
[13] Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; [14] As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: [15] But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; [16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
The definition of holy: Hallowed; consecrated or set apart to a sacred use, or to the service or worship of God.
God expects us to be holy at every point of our life. We as Christians need to be acting in a Christ-like manner. 1 Peter 4:1-2 KJV
[1] Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; [2] That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
Jesus walked on this earth without sin. We need to establish in our hearts to be more like Jesus. Seeking those things which are above and not on things of this world. Matthew 6:20-21 KJV
[20] But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: [21] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Lord get me out of the way and let me be more like you!
Romans 12:1-2 KJV
[1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
