Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV
[1] To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: [2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; [3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; [4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; [5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; [6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; [7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; [8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. …
It seems that time is going so quickly anymore. Here we are going into June of 2023. Where has time gone? I remember trying to rush time trying to get to the age of sixteen so I could drive. Then trying to hurry time so that I could turn eighteen so I could say I was an adult. Now I find myself wanting time to slow down. Wanting time to slow down cause I feel like my children are growing up too fast and feeling like I'm missing it.
I realize that the only one that can change time is God. And Ecclesiastes tells us that there is a time for everything. So the question is, how are we using the time that God has given us? James said our life is but a vapor. So our time is short, so we need to utilize it as much as possible. We need to put God first and then the rest will fall into place. I've noticed that when I start out my day by giving time to God. That the rest will come easier. We need to be careful how we use the time we have been given. Because we don't know how much more time we have.
